THE CITY OF CRANBROOK 

DOWNTOWN REVITALIZATION MASTER PLAN

The City of Cranbrook is updating their Downtown Plan, which is consistent with the direction of Council within the Cranbrook Strategic Plan 2020-2024. The Strategic Plan identifies the importance of ensuring adequate downtown parking supply for existing and future businesses, while identifying redevelopment opportunities based on infrastructure capacity. The review of the Downtown Plan will feed into the development of a Downtown Revitalization Master Plan.

1212 EDMONTON TRAIL

PROPOSED LAND USE CHANGE 

The project is envisioned as a four-storey, mixed use building located on Edmonton Trail within the community of Renfrew. Edmonton Trail is part of the Primary Transit Network and an Urban Main Street, as designated within the Municipal Development Plan (MDP). It is within walking, cycling and transit distance of numerous amenities including restaurants, offices, grocery stores, and downtown Calgary.

GRATITUDE MANOR 

FRESH START RECOVERY CENTRE (FRESH START)

Fresh Start has halted the work to submit an application on the 2400 Block site due to grant delays and economic evaluations regarding financing.

 

Fresh Start Recovery (Fresh Start) continues to look for sites for a recovery community initiative (Gratitude Manor) within communities including Mount Pleasant. Our communities NEED transitional housing supports like the one proposed at the 2400 Block site. Transitional housing is a component of a healthy and inclusive community. Sometimes all an individual needs is a Fresh Start.
