Burial of the Powerline in Phase Two (The Island)
Stripping and Grading activity is underway in Phase Two, and is anticipated to continue until October. One of the items that residents requested to see during the land use process was for Cedarglen to look into the burial of the powerline crossing Phase Two. We have good news! Following the earthworks, the overhead powerline is anticipated to be removed and buried underground in October.
Country Hills Boulevard Upgrades & Widening
August 09, 2018
We are very excited to be moving ahead with upgrades to Country Hills Boulevard NE and Harvest Hills Way NE. While reasonable efforts will be made to minimize impacts to traffic flow during the upgrades, some delays or impacts will unavoidably occur during this time similar to other road construction projects throughout the city. Please plan your trips accordingly.

June 12, 2018
On behalf of Cedarglen Homes and The Parks of Harvest Hills, we are excited to write you regarding an opportunity to to have a gate installed within the existing chain link fence in your rear yard. This will provide you direct access to the open space being built directly behind your home! This offer applies only to the homes that have rear yards backing on to open space lands indicated on the map below.
The Parks of Harvest Hills - Traffic Calming
June 01, 2018
We heard from members of the Harvest Hills community that additional information on the traffic calming along Harvest Hills Drive NE would be helpful.
We hope the traffic delays will dissipate as construction is finalized, the traffic barriers are removed, and people get used to the change. The traffic calming changes you see were a response to community concerns heard during the land use stage regarding excessive speeds and pedestrian safety. The City heard the community, and asked for traffic calming measures to be implemented on Harvest Hills Drive.

Harvest Hills Construction Update - November
November 30, 2017
Since the last update, surface construction in Phase 1, including sidewalks and roads, has been ongoing. You may have noticed this activity occurring in the northeastern portion of the site. Road work for the season is now complete. Sidewalks, curbs, and asphalt have been installed at the intersection where the new show homes are being built. The remaining sidewalks and asphalt in the first phase will be completed in the Spring. All construction work in The Parks of Harvest Hills is weather permitting. The above timelines are estimates and are subject to change.
Harvest Hills Construction Update - November
October 31, 2017
The next stage of development will be surface construction in Phase 1, including sidewalks and roads. Work will begin within the next couple of weeks, in the northeast portion of the site (near the existing construction entrance). From there, surface construction will progress west, then south through Phase 1. Asphalt construction will follow the same pattern, about two weeks after surface works. Some of the pavement may be temporary for winter use only, depending on weather, with completion in the Spring.

As part of this stage of the construction, there will be road closures and detours required for portions of Harvest Hills Gate NE and Harvest Hills Drive NE. The first closures begin today, September 28th. Beginning at 2:00 PM and ending Sunday, October 1st, the west side of Harvest Hills Gate NW will be closed. Construction Update - Phase 2 Special Update
September 13, 2017
Work has begun to prepare Phase 2 (the Island) for grading. Prior to the winter season, we have begun to drain the pond in Phase 2. In preparation for construction in this area of the former golf course, the pond will be drained and removed, some soil will be stockpiled, and trees that are not being retained long term will be removed from the site. The intent behind this work is to mitigate the concerns that some residents had regarding potential bird nesting by removing the potential habitat conflicts in advance of spring 2018. All permits required for this work are already approved and in place.

Construction Update - September
August 29, 2017
Over the last couple of months, the site grading has been ongoing. Rough grading in the northwest portion of the site is now complete as far south as the southern edge of the Stormwater Pond. The remaining grading is ongoing to the southern boundary of the site, and is anticipated to be completed by the end of September, weather permitting.

Construction Update - August
July 28, 2017
A few residents have requested that we look into some restrictive covenants that were registered on their titles when the lands were first developed by Genstar, largely to homes abutting the former golf course and the lands the golf course itself was on. Restrictive covenants are charges registered on title to land that restrict the use of that land in some way, and the intention of these restrictive covenants mainly covers architectural controls and golf ball liability due to the proximity of the homes to the former golf course. Several residents have requested that these be discharged from their titles, but due to the way in which they were registered, each homeowner encumbered by them must agree to their removal.
